Americans want to punish Israel’s boycott
Boycott: Not less than 45 senators and 237 members of the House of Representatives in Washington support a bill that, if approved, punishes any who attempt to boycott Israel.
In particular, the pro-Palestinian BDS campaign (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) is targeted. The Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Civil Liberties Union, sees an infringement of the First Amendment, which guarantees, inter alia, freedom of expression.
Penalties and convictions
Legislators consider the Israel Anti-Boycott Act to pay tremendous fines, up to $ 250,000, and heavy cell punishment for any American it is desirous of boycotting Israeli goods or services.
The bill, allegedly drafted by the powerful lobby group Aipac, enjoys great support from both Republicans and Democrats. So far, no Congressman has yet expressed his opinion.
Rights of Palestinians
The Boycott, Disinvestment and Sanctions campaign aims to meet the state of Israel until the country respects the rights of the Palestinian people.
However, Israel continues to expand in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, which is being thrown by the UN, but is fully supported by Washington.
